Bride and Groom sharing a first dance as Elvis impersonator sings.

If you had asked me 10 years ago if I thought I would end up as a Las Vegas Elopement Photographer, I wouldn't have guessed it in a million years. My first trip to Sin City was back in 2016 for our, now, annual trip to WPPI Expo. I immediately fell in love with the high energy vibe and I've returned nearly every year since to network with other wedding vendors and extend my photography education. However, this was our first real wedding in the city. To say we were blown away is an understatement. I've written all of the details below and sharing some of my favorite images- although I'm not sure how I'll pick!

Las Vegas Elopement Photographer

If you are looking for a Las Vegas Elopement Photographer, my bags are already packed. No, really. I'm the worst about emptying out my suitcase after I get back from a trip so chances are, my bags are actually still packed!

When Jacklyn initially reached out, it was over three years away from the date. I put it in my calendar and officially started making travel plans at the beginning of the year. And as my first real destination wedding since coming off of maternity leave, I knew I had to make it the most exciting week possibly.

With that being said, I helped Jacklyn plan the most badass Vegas elopement we could have ever imagined possible. There are so many incredible photo opportunities that we considered while making plans. Here are a few that made the cut:

  • The Neon Museum
  • A Little White Chapel
  • Linq High Roller
  • In-N-Out at the Linq Promenade

It wasn't easy to make the final decisions. There are so many different options to choose from, especially right on The Strip. That might warrant another blog post in the near future- but a simple Google search will prove that there is an impossible amount of photo choices throughout the city.

However, I am so stoked with all of the awesome images we were able to create!

Vegas Wedding By Elvis

When it comes to eloping in Las Vegas, one of the most popular and classic ways of tying the knot is the be officiated by the man himself: Elvis! Well, an impersonator, of course. And truly we were not disappointed by the experience.

A Little White Wedding Chapel, located in between The Strip and downtown Fremont, is one of the most popular Vegas chapel's right now. Recently, JLO and Ben Affleck surprised everyone by getting married there and since then, it's popularity has exploded. And rightfully so! It's considered a "small, iconic celebrity wedding venue" that has been around since the early 1950's.

Jacklyn and Brennan made their appointment months ahead of time and it was a good thing they did! There was a line out the door when we arrived which we were lucky enough to skip. We immediately went into the ceremony which was officiated by an ordained pastor who kept it very short and sweet. They shared their First Kiss and then Elvis came in to end the fun by singing any song of their choice. The newlyweds shared their first dance while Elvis serenaded them and their closest friends. SO MUCH FUN! The skintight red suit just topped it all off- it was so iconic!

Fun Elopement Ceremony Ideas

No matter where you choose to wed your partner, all that matters is that you celebrate exactly how you want without feeling influenced by anyone around you (cough, cough-your parents!). I was so proud of J and B for stepping out of the traditional wedding boundaries and absolutely having the time of their lives with some of their best friends. Eloping in Las Vegas will always be top of my list when couples ask me about my favorite things to shoot. Especially when it's a classic, retro elopement ordained by The King of Rock and Roll!

Truly, you can elope pretty much anywhere. If it's just the two of you and a wedding photographer, hire a fun officiant in the area and you can essentially do it anywhere (as long as there are no permits needed). That's what makes ditching a traditional, large wedding so much fun- there are hardly any rules! Check out more of Jacklyn and Brennan's photos below:
