We are Printographers here at Taylor Parker Photography. And I’m more than happy to tell you why you should print your wedding photos.
A Printographer is a visual artist that is committed to preserving memories that can be seen, touched, and felt every day as you relive them on your walls, in your hands, and in your heart. We learned this from our friends over at the Printographers Society.
When I first began my career as an Asheville, NC wedding photographer, I didn’t know the value of printing images for my clients. As a result, my clients didn’t know the value of printing images for themselves.
Over the years, I had spent a lot of time in wedding photography education. I soon set on the path to becoming a wedding educator, myself.
That’s how this blog was born!
Why You Should Print Your Wedding Photos
Something tells me you already know what I’m going to say. But in case you don’t, this post is for you.
Your wedding photos do not live to die on a computer hard drive.
I know that as a child, you spent hours going through your parent’s albums and baby photos. You held them in your hands. You felt them between your fingers. Then you flipped it over to see 1968 scribbled in pen. The image had a yellow tint to it from being in the closet for 40 years.
I KNOW that I just gave you a feeling of nostalgia. Right?
However, those things don’t happen in modern times. Today, images are delivered through an online gallery. They are downloaded onto a desktop then copied to an iPhone.
Their legacy ends on a 2018 Macbook and I just won’t stand for that.
Preserving Your Wedding Photos
Close your eyes and imagine this: In 50 years, you are sitting around the coffee table with your kids and grandchildren passing around your wedding album.
Just imagine that feeling.
I truly believe that the memories you made on the biggest day of your life deserve a chance. For that reason, every single bride and groom we serve walk away from their experience with an album.
Our images are meant to live for generations to come. Albums, prints, and canvases that your children and grandchildren will cherish for decades after you can no longer tell your story.
