You’re engaged and now you are wondering, should you hire a wedding planner? Planning a wedding can’t be that hard, right? However, I may not give you the answer you hoped for. Planning a wedding is SO incredibly hard. I am not even going to sugarcoat it, friend. My husband and I got married in October 2019, and my planners and coordinators were the backbone of my big day.
Hiring A Planner
If you are hoping for a low budget wedding, I highly recommend cutting the budget in other areas instead. The three main vendors you should immediately book are a venue, photographer, and planning/coordination. I know that my clients can speak from their own experience when listing the pros of hiring a professional. But that being said, it isn’t totally impossible to do it on your own. I’m just here to tell you what they bring to the table.
So what are the pros, exactly? Firstly, if you don’t have very much wedding experience, chances are you have no idea what you are doing. Honestly! Even as a wedding pro for nearly 10 years, planning my own wedding kicked my butt. There are a lot of decisions, and not all of them are fun. It’s so nice to have an unbiased opinion of a true wedding professional to ease the stress.
Secondly, the day of is complete chaos. Take it from me. Girl, you do not want to be running around in your hair curlers putting together reception table centerpieces. Knowing it is all being taken care of by someone who knows what they are doing is a complete relief. An important part of picking your event planner is trusting the person you hire. They hold a lot of different hats throughout the process.
Should You Hire A Wedding Planner?
I can’t answer that for you personally. But in my professional opinion, everyone should hire a wedding planner. They are the tape and glue of holding a wedding together flawlessly. I always highly recommend them to every single one of my clients!
