Mount Airy Farm Wedding Venue in Asheville, NC
Why This Private Estate Might Be the Hidden Gem You've Been Looking For
Let me introduce you to one of Asheville’s best-kept secrets: Mount Airy Farm. Tucked away in the rolling hills of Leicester (just a short 25-minute drive from downtown Asheville), this private estate feels like the kind of dreamy, tucked-away spot you'd want to run away to for your wedding weekend. And lucky for you, that’s exactly what it is.
I’ve had the honor of photographing weddings here, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s magical. There’s just something about the open skies, the peaceful stillness of the property, and the way the light hits the mountains in the distance that makes everything feel a little more romantic and a lot more memorable.
It's one of my all-time favorite Asheville microwedding venues and I hope we continue to create magic together over the next decade!

The Vibe at Mount Airy Farm
Mount Airy Farm is a 38-acre estate with seriously jaw-dropping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's peaceful, private, and absolutely perfect for couples who want a space that feels like theirs-without sacrificing comfort, style, or accessibility.
The house on the property is over 6,800 square feet, and yep, it’s as beautiful as it sounds. Think: modern farmhouse energy meets luxury Airbnb. There are six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and enough room to sleep 16 people-so you can bring your entire wedding party or closest crew along for the weekend. Dogs are also welcome for those of you that must have your pups with you for your nups!
The master suite? Oh, just a spa-like dream with a sauna, oversized tub, rainfall shower, and a private terrace that overlooks the infinity pool and the hills below. No big deal. 😉
It brings a vintage, yet modern vibe that is hard to describe. Our clients love it and so do we.

Ceremony & Reception Options
What I love most about Mount Airy is how versatile the space is. Whether you're planning a large outdoor wedding or an intimate micro-ceremony, you’ve got options.
- Open Pasture Ceremonies: Say your vows surrounded by golden light and mountain peaks in the distance. It’s hard to beat.
- Lily Pad Pond: A super peaceful, slightly whimsical spot that makes for a serene and romantic ceremony space.
- Back Deck & Patio: This is where things get cozy. With string lights, a built-in fire pit, and plenty of space to dance under the stars, it's the perfect setup for your reception.
You really don’t need much decor when the landscape looks like this. A few florals, maybe a soft rug at the altar, and you're set. Olivia opted for the most gorgeous hydrangea wedding arbor out in the pasture. It made for something so beautiful that I fell absolutely head over heels with their florist, Springvine Design. Then they set an intimate table for 12 on the back deck and enjoyed a candlelit "reception" dinner. It was honestly something straight out of a magazine. I overshare this wedding on my Instagram far too often!

The Bride's Thoughts
Tell me the story of the two of you:
My best friend/ neighbor since we were 4 years old, Abbe, is a matchmaker, and the reason for our story. In late 2020, I was still living in Boone, NC, finishing up my post-grad internship, but I was really looking forward to moving back home to Jacksonville Fl. Abbe was excited too, because she really wanted to set me up with her boyfriends brother, Trevor. Pretty much right when I moved back home in November, we started hanging out. For our first date, we shared a bottle of wine in the Southern Grounds Courtyard, a coffee shop in our cute little town center that stays open late, with the Christmas lights lit up on all the Palm Trees. Then we walked across the street for a Coors Lite at Pete's Bar, an iconic dive bar that has been there since 1933. Later, when I told my mom about our first date, she told me that her and my dad's first date ended at Pete's Bar (how romantic), and that my grandparents had their first date at Pete's Bar (back then, they had a walk up window, so they got beers to-go before catching a movie). I took that as a really good sign :)
After that first date, Trevor and I spent most every day together. At the time, he lived with his brother, Colin, so the 4 of us hung out all the time. It was truly such a fun time in my life, and a dream come true for Abbe and me...dating two brothers who are also best friends and getting to hang out all the time (Abbe and Colin are married now too).
Even though we are both from Jacksonville, Trevor and I never met until that November of 2020, however, we realized our path's have crossed many times. For starters, our dads have known each other since they were teenagers- they used to surf against each other in contests back in the day. We also realized we were on the same plane together in 2015, we've been to many of the same concerts/festivals, and we've shared so many mutual friends throughout our lives. We always say, we are so glad we met right when we did, at the exact right time.
Now, Trevor and I live in our home that we own in Jacksonville Beach, with our dog Frank. Both of our parents live 10 minutes away (and they live 2 minutes from each other!). We love to surf, swim, be outdoors, travel, garden, and go to the mountains when we can. We are currently expecting a baby boy, due in September (right around our 1st wedding anniversary!), and are just so excited for this next phase of life.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding day?
After attending 12 different weddings in 2023, we were a little tired of weddings, and we were able to see exactly what we liked and didn't like. We decided that we didn't want a real "wedding", but we still wanted a way to celebrate with our friends and families. So we decided to have a big engagement party, and then have a small, private wedding ceremony later.
Our engagement party was such a dream- we had a block party in front of my parents house with 300 of our friends and family, and danced in the street with margaritas and tacos :) It was the perfect way to celebrate with everyone we love without having to stress about the little details of a wedding.
Then for the wedding, we invited our immediate family only (plus spouses), and rented a gorgeous Airbnb outside of Asheville, NC. The entire weekend was a dream. The house was a huge, white colonial style mansion on top of a hill, with an infinity pool overlooking the rolling hills and cow pastures. It was such a great way for our families to really spend time together and get to know each other on a deeper level. We had our ceremony on the property, underneath a beautiful Weeping Willow tree, with the most gorgeous flower arch of my dreams. Then we had a lovely dinner by the outdoor fireplace as the sun set over the mountains, while everyone in the family gave a little speech. It was truly my fairytale wedding.

What are some things you had to overcome along the process of planning?
The wedding industry is a big, scary one, and it can be overwhelming trying to decide on vendors and little details. I just had to remind myself what its all about- and that is- getting married to the love of my life. The other details really don't matter. Every time I would stress about details like flowers or plates, I would ask myself: if cameras and social media didn't exist, would I really care? The answer was almost always no. It's so easy to get caught up in what it will look like on camera and to others. Fortunately, my mom loves to plan, so I pretty much just gave her full reign on planning the details, trusting that she knows my style well enough to know what I like. That took so much off my plate, and she did such an amazing job. Also, fortunately, our photographer was incredible and the photos did truly captured the exact essence of the day and of our love.
What were your absolute favorite things about the wedding day?
One of my favorite parts of our wedding day was actually just setting everything up with everyone throughout the day. It was all hands on deck, so everyone in the family was helping. It actually was such a chill and relaxing day. We set up the chairs, the tables, etc, and it was just fun getting to do that with everyone. Of course, my #1 favorite part of the day was the actual ceremony. The weather was perfect and dreamy, and we got to exchange vows in front of our favorite people in our favorite place :)
