The Lighthouse Knoxville Wedding Venue is a go-to spot in the city. Well, technically it isn’t a city venue. It’s surrounded by trees, fields, and a gorgeous lake that sits right on the venue grounds. It’s a little piece of the country right in the city. Just a short drive from downtown Knoxville.
Lighthouse Knoxville Wedding
Mckenzie and Levi found me through Levi’s sister, Kaitlyn. We met during her senior photo session and then I did a couples shoot for them a few months before the wedding. I truly loved getting the chance to work with them again. And it was such an honor getting to know their friends and family on the wedding day. However, I’m admittedly just getting around to blogging about this wedding. It was in the thick of COVID season in August 2020. And I’m just catching up on some blogs since I had my son. In fact, I was pregnant while shooting this wedding (and didn’t even know it at the time!).
Although I am a sucker for a city wedding venue, I love the feel that Lighthouse Knoxville brings for my couples. The venue’s indoor hall is one of my favorites of all time. I typically don’t favor indoor weddings because of my love for natural light. However, its high ceilings and large windows make for such a romantic spot. The natural light is phenomenal and it’s great not to have to worry about having a rain plan. But the best part of all is the balcony above the ceremony space. We were able to get a gorgeous shot from above of Mckenzie and her dad walking down the aisle! I would have killed to have a photo similar from my own wedding photographer. It’s a great addition to the gallery and I wish we had the option to do that more often.
We always love getting to work with the Lighthouse Knoxville team and cannot wait to be back soon!
