If you are on the search for a Johnson City Birth Photographer, I’m your gal! I started birth photography back in 2015. Months later, I became a certified doula, and I’ve been in love with birth ever since. My own firstborn arrived in April and, luckily for me, my birth was truly everything I had ever dreamed of.
When I first found out that I was pregnant, I immediately set out on a search for a birth doula to be present with us. We had already chosen Franklin Woods hospital in Johnson City, TN. So we were on the market for someone local to the area. And via Google, I met the incredible ladies of High Country Doulas!
After chatting with them, it was beyond obvious that they were our birth people. Honestly, I have made lifelong friends with both Allison and Chelsey (pictured below!). And thanks to them, I got to photograph little Harrison’s incredible natural birth just a few weeks before I had my own.

Tasha went into labor around 5 PM on Friday afternoon. Although she was a first-time mom, that sweet baby had fast eviction plans! I jumped in my car and headed to the hospital where I met Tasha, her husband, and my own incredible doula, Chelsey. By the time I arrived, Tasha was already headed towards the baby finish line around 9CM dilated. And let me be the first to say, there is nothing as incredible as watching a baby come into the world. As much as I LOVE photographing weddings, there is just nothing the can compare to photographing a birth experience.
I was almost 9 months pregnant at the time of Harrison’s birth. So I was waddling around the delivery room imagining how my little Bub was going to join us and just soaking up the good feelings.
Welcome to the world, Harrison! Thank you for letting me photograph your birth day!
