We have been shooting a lot more work in the city. And this Charlotte, NC engagement session is one of our favorite city shoots yet.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that the city has my heart and soul. My career started in Washington, D.C.
As a result, I became a true city gal. A lover for all things sirens, blaring horns and road rage. Sorry, mom. I brought the road rage back home with me.
Lots of our weddings and locations are within the countryside of Asheville, NC. With that being said, we shoot a lot of field and forest sessions. Nonetheless, I totally love all of those options.
But it’s always so nice getting to photograph couples in a familiar and bold place. Trust me, I am nothing short of flipping obsessed with the buildings and architecture.
Charlotte, NC Engagement
This session, in particular, was on a rooftop parking garage located right by the Bank of America Stadium. Since it was a rainy day, the sky was full of clouds and fog.
It was moody and I was loving it.
Lauren and Stephen were definitely down for adventure. We obviously couldn’t say no when Stephen insisted on climbing atop the stairs platform. It made for the perfect photo of them surrounded by the tall buildings.
Romare Bearden Park
OUR FAVORITE.
Did I mention that we LOVE this location? You will have to scroll down to see the images taken inside the park. But it is so worth the scroll.
If you are an Charlotte native, you know what Romare brings to the table.
The incredible park water fountain sits right in front of a entire skyline worth of buildings. However, the best part is the color changing lights behind the falls.
The colorful lights truly step up the night photography portion of our sessions. We had planned the fountain photos ahead of time, knowing that they would create something dramatic and unique. Previously, we had shot another session in the area and knew how cool the spot was.
