As well as being an Asheville engagement photographer, I am also a Charlotte engagement photographer. I, surprisingly, have more sessions in CLT than I had ever imagined having. And that isn’t a bad thing! We absolutely love the area and I’m a true city gal at heart. My career started in the city, so I love being surrounded by blasting horns and flashing lights.
Leslie and Thomas are getting married in the fall, and I am so excited to be a part of it. Their engagement session was my last session before going on maternity leave. As I’m writing this, I’m 8 weeks postpartum and officially getting back into the swing of things. But before my first session back, I wanted to share Thomas and Leslie’s photos. I am so in love with them!
CHARLOTTE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Although we were shooting in city limits, they didn’t have to have a skyline. Instead, they wanted something outdoorsy with a bit of a nature vibe. So I compiled a list of my favorite local parks and we ended up deciding on Freedom Park. It was late winter, so, unfortunately, we didn’t get lots of flowers or botanicals. But it was still absolutely gorgeous and we caught an incredible sunset!
However, we did get lucky and find a large foliage patch. You already know I made them practically climb inside!
One of the best parts of the park is the fountain. It’s the main attraction and has a perfect view of the sunset behind it. So without a thought, I put them on the edge and captured the water bokeh behind them. Ugh, my heart! I can’t wait to head back to Freedom Park during spring or even during fall to capture all the changing leaves. And most importantly, I CANNOT wait for Leslie and Thomas’s wedding in just a few short months.
