Casey and Robert’s Asheville Engagement session was extra special. It was my first session back from my 8-week long maternity leave! Needless to say, I was so flipping excited to get back to it. I felt like I hadn’t had a camera in my hand in so long (it wasn’t really that long, honestly!). My pregnancy was tougher than I had anticipated. So I ended up staying off of my feet more often than I had planned doing when I first found out I was expecting. Obviously, I was unbelievably ready to get back to it and this engagement session was the perfect way to kick off my official season.
Biltmore Engagement Photos
The Biltmore Estate is, by far, the best spot in the city for photos. It comes highly recommended by me to every couple asking for location recommendations. And my July calendar is just packed with sessions on the grounds. Trust me, I am so not mad about that. I absolutely love being there. Especially if we are lucky enough to catch a gorgeous sunset. I plan on writing a full blog post just on the Biltmore, so check back soon to read more about the ground details. There is just so much to cover that it can’t be done in only an excerpt in another post!
Asheville Engagement Session
My obsession with the Asheville area is honestly a bit ridiculous. I was born and raised in Asheville, and will most likely stay here for the rest of my life. It’s just way too beautiful to leave. As a wedding photographer, it’s truly one of the best spots in the country and I am so thankful to be here. The castle in our backyard is just a really big plus!
