Bailey and Cole were set on having an Asheville Christmas wedding. When I first met Bailey, I immediately discovered her enormous love for Christmas. Or, I should probably say obsession. I’ve shot a few different holiday weddings in my career, but of them all, this one was the most unbelievable.
Every table was a real-life Christmas explosion. The ceremony and reception were a combined space, with guests sitting at their dinner tables for the vows. We love this idea. But it isn’t used very often! It is truly a great way to use a single space to the fullest. It also saves your wedding planners the stress of having to have an outdoor cocktail hour and flipping the space while the guests wait. However, of all the details from the wedding, our favorite was Bailey’s Santa-styled cape. It was truly magical!
Planning an Asheville Christmas Wedding
First and most importantly, finding your vendors is top of the list. This includes your venue. There are so many incredible places in the area that give off rustic Christmas wedding vibes. Bailey and Cole chose the Memory Mountain Barn to tie the knot. But there are lots of other great options in and around Asheville. Biltmore is a true winter wonderland and the Grove Park Inn hosts an unbelievable gingerbread house contest every year. Another great option is the Crest Center and Pavillion. It has gorgeous mountain views, and if you get lucky, they might be covered in snow on your day!
There are also lots of vendors in the area who are more than happy to spend the holiday helping their clients have their perfect day. But be sure to book them well ahead of time since it’s such a highly inquired date.
