ASHEVILLE CHRISTMAS MINI SESSIONS
Before the holiday season is over, I absolutely have to blog this years Asheville Christmas Mini Sessions. Y’all know me and my procrastination with blogging. Maybe that will be my New Years resolution- sigh. Each year, I think I love my minis even more than the last. But I absolutely adored this setup- kudos to Hobby Lobby for fulfilling my visions!
I really wanted to keep our backdrop very neutral and minimalistic this year. However, I searched Pinterest high and low and all around. I found nothing that was even close to my vision. So I just had to create a setup from my own head and make it come to life! Although I love a red and green Christmas-filled photoshoot, I wanted something a little out of the box for this one. I also really loved the idea of being able to use these images year-round. So if you wanted to make prints and hang them in your living space, you wouldn’t have to take them down after the holiday season. That was the goal for this particular mini setup. Next year? Totally different. Who knows what inspiration I’ll run with!
Christmas Mini Photo Ideas
In the previous years, I’ve done a few different things. I never do the same setup twice and I do like to keep things simple. I’ve used a simple teepee setup with a fire-pit and another year we did them in a local tree farm. I’m such a sucker for a Christmas tree session! One year, we got lucky enough to get a very polite snowstorm. So we didn’t have to cancel and we got some awesome snow for all our sessions! It’s one part of the year that I always really look forward to. All of my family clients show up with their babies that I have watched grow over the years! It warms my heart so much to follow the families as they grow- from engagements, weddings, birth, birthdays and family sessions each Holiday season.
